Information about transaction currency, online payments, payment-card security and how bookings are confirmed by Esoteric Travel and Tours.
Esoteric Travel and Tours is operated by Esoteric Private Limited in the Republic of Maldives. Payment information applicable to a booking will be communicated before the customer completes payment.
Merchant Details
Payments made through this website are for travel services provided or arranged by Esoteric Travel and Tours, operated by Esoteric Private Limited, Republic of Maldives.
Transaction Currency
Unless otherwise clearly stated before payment, transactions with Esoteric Travel and Tours are processed in United States Dollars (USD).
The applicable transaction amount and currency will be shown or communicated to the customer before payment is completed.
Online Card Payments
Where an online card-payment option is provided, the transaction may be processed through the Bank of Maldives payment gateway or another authorised payment service provider made available by Esoteric Travel and Tours.
The accepted card brands applicable to the transaction will be displayed at the payment stage.
Esoteric will not ask customers to send full payment-card numbers, card security codes or payment authentication credentials through ordinary email, WhatsApp or other messaging services.
Payment-Card Security
Payment-card information entered into an online payment gateway is transmitted through the secure payment environment provided for the transaction.
Esoteric Travel and Tours does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers, card security codes or other sensitive authentication information entered into the secure payment gateway.
Payment-card information is processed through the payment service provider used for the transaction rather than being submitted to Esoteric through ordinary email or messaging channels.
Payment and Booking Confirmation
A successful payment transaction does not by itself guarantee supplier availability where final supplier confirmation is still required.
A booking is considered confirmed after the required payment has been received and Esoteric Travel and Tours has issued written booking confirmation.
Payment Deadlines
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation or booking confirmation, a 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking.
The remaining balance must be paid before the payment deadline stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
Failed, Declined or Interrupted Transactions
A payment may be declined or interrupted by the customer’s bank, card issuer, payment network, internet connection or payment service provider.
If a payment does not complete successfully, customers should confirm the transaction status before attempting repeated payment for the same booking.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy and any supplier-specific cancellation conditions disclosed to the customer before the booking was confirmed.
Transaction Records
Customers are advised to retain a copy of their payment confirmation, booking confirmation, transaction records, Terms & Conditions, Cancellation & Refund Policy and other applicable booking policies for their records.
