Nature of Our Services

Esoteric Travel and Tours provides or arranges travel-related services including accommodation, transfers, excursions, diving, watersports, fishing, boat charters and other Maldives travel experiences.

These are primarily travel services rather than physical products.

How a Booking Is Confirmed

After the required payment has been received and the relevant supplier availability has been confirmed, Esoteric Travel and Tours will issue written confirmation of the customer’s booking.

Depending on the booking, the confirmation may include:

• Accommodation details.
• Travel dates.
• Transfer arrangements.
• Activity or excursion confirmations.
• Passenger or arrival information.
• Booking references or supplier references where applicable.
• Instructions required to use the booked service.

Electronic Fulfilment

Booking confirmations, vouchers, itinerary information and other relevant travel documentation are generally provided electronically by email or another agreed communication channel.

Customers should check the information provided and notify Esoteric promptly if any booking detail appears incorrect.

Accommodation

Where accommodation has been booked, the service is fulfilled through the customer’s confirmed stay at the relevant resort, hotel or guesthouse for the dates, room category and other arrangements stated in the booking confirmation.

Transfers

Transfers may be provided by speedboat, seaplane, domestic flight, vehicle or another transport provider according to the confirmed itinerary.

Transfer timings may depend on international flight schedules, weather, operational requirements, supplier schedules and other conditions outside Esoteric’s direct control.

Activities and Experiences

Excursions, diving, watersports, fishing, charters and other activities are fulfilled at the date, time and location communicated to the customer.

Activities may remain subject to weather, sea conditions, safety requirements, operator availability and other applicable operational conditions.

Services Provided by Third-Party Suppliers

Some services are performed by third-party resorts, hotels, airlines, transfer operators, activity providers, charter operators or other travel suppliers.

Where applicable, Esoteric Travel and Tours coordinates the booking and assists the customer with the arrangements, while the relevant supplier performs the confirmed service.

Shipping, Customs and Import Duties

Standard bookings made with Esoteric Travel and Tours consist of travel and tourism services and do not involve the physical shipment of goods.

Shipping charges, import duties and customs charges therefore do not normally apply to standard Esoteric travel bookings.

If a particular transaction exceptionally includes a physical product or another arrangement that may be subject to shipping, customs, import or export requirements, any applicable conditions or charges will be communicated to the customer before purchase.

Changes or Failure to Provide a Confirmed Service

If a confirmed service cannot be provided as booked, Esoteric Travel and Tours will work with the relevant supplier and customer to seek a reasonable alternative, rescheduling arrangement or other resolution where reasonably possible.

Any refund eligibility will be determined according to the Cancellation & Refund Policy and any supplier-specific terms disclosed before confirmation.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for checking their booking confirmation, providing accurate passenger and flight information and arriving at the required meeting, transfer or activity location at the communicated time.

Customers are also responsible for complying with any reasonable supplier safety, participation, identification or travel requirements applicable to the confirmed service.
